Baseet participates in The Gulf Day for Giftedness and Creativity, and engages gifted students with Sustainability
March, 2023- In partnership with Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic performance, Baseet participated in the Gulf Day for Giftedness and Creativity, attended by the most talented and gifted students in the Gulf countries, including; Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Emirates.
Baseet delivered a variety of workshops, including real-world challenges that encouraged students to find innovative and eco-friendly solutions. All students received Baseet-kits to help them carry on the projects, overcome the challenges they faced in each workshop, and to continue their learning journey at home using baseet kits.
In “Doctor of the future” workshop, students faced the challenge of determining blood groups to avoid wrong blood transfusion. Next, they learned how to extract DNA to detect the genetic deformity in DNA samples.
In line with “2023 – the Year of Sustainability” in UAE, the second workshop “Smart Systems” introduced students to the water shortage issue. Students learned how to create a Smart Irrigation System to help them irrigate their planets at home, and save water.
Finally, in “The Magic of chemistry” workshop, students discovered a variety of undefined chemical substances, explored how to analyze them in order to determine either to get rid of them or benefit from them.
The event celebrated the gifted students, highlighted their innovations, provided them with englighting conversations and insights to encourage their creative spirit even further.
