About baseet international fair

Who said you need to wait for post-graduation years to publish your research? Baseet International Fair for Students targets young researchers from middle and secondary schools, aged between 13 to 18 years old, and gives them an opportunity to learn research basics, create research posters, and visualize research in the form of videos. We help students to be more innovative, to think critically, improve their storytelling and presentation skills, and gain knowledge through exploring up-to-date issues, problems, ideas, discoveries and theories.

The fair gives the students an opportunity to

  • Improve their research skills, research visualization skills, storytelling skills, and presentation skills through exploring new and creative methods to present scientific concepts. 
  • Receive comments from judges, communicate with professionals, and Indulge in scientific conversations.
  • Publish their posters and videos digitally for a larger scale of outreach to the public
  • Help them to be more innovative, to think critically, and gain knowledge through exploring up to date issues, problems, ideas, discoveries and theories.
  • Discover the integration of science as they connect their knowledge of STEM disciplines with Business skills and Arts & Humanities studies.

How to participate?

  • After registration in Baseet Scientific Fair, participants enter Training program to enhance their research skills, research visualization skills, storytelling skills, scientific publishing necessities, science communication skills and presentation skills. 
  • Following the training program, students enter a mentorship program to receive comments and feedback from judges and professionals.
  • Next, entries are expected to submit the poster content and a three-to-five minute video explaining the content for a successful submission in the Fair. 
  • Baseet Science Fair offers students a platform that will create the scientific poster automatically for them.
  • Posters will be published with the official opening of the Fair.

Poster content shall indicate the following points

  • Clear objectives.  
  • Methods. 
  • Observations. 
  • Conclusion.
  • Link to baseet’s principle; the integration of STEM fields with the necessary business skills, and Arts & Humanitarian studies.
  • Recommendations. 
  • Acknowledgment

The Video shall be

  • Three to five minutes maximum. 
  • Short, simple, and to the point.
  • Explain your point clearly and fully.

Judgment and winners

  • The Committee of Judges will take into account the participants fulfillment of the required points for both the content and the video. 
  • The committee will choose top 10 participants, who will receive honorable prizes. 
  • Top 3 winners will be chosen and awarded grand prizes including scholarships, funds, trips, medals and trophies.
