Baseet Climate Science Shows in COP27 to engage thousands with Climate challenges
Egypt, November 2022- Baseet Climate Science Shows in COP27 takes thousands of participants in a new learning journey that mixes fun, magic and science through a variety of exciting experiments performed on stage by world-class STEAM Communicators to actively engage the public with climate action. Baseet Climate Science Shows are presented in 3 different languages; English, Arabic and Chinese to ensure that participants from 194 countries are well involved with climate action.
In partnership with The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and Al-Alfi Foundation, Baseet Climate science shows accompany participants through the human’s learning journey on earth over the ages, to discover how energy evolved from using fire, to discovering oil and fuel, to finally resorting to clean and solar energy to protect our planet.
Baseet also provides STEAM educational resources enabling educators, researchers, and university staff to communicate climate science using STEAM approach in order to encourage students to find innovative solutions for climate challenges.
Among more than 500 organizations applied, Basset has been selected to provide public engagement and outreach activities at COP27, including science shows, film screening, and many workshops. More than 2000 attendees participated throughout the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27, which was held from 6 to 18 November 2022 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
